A Bíblia Almeida é a Bíblia criada por João Ferreira de Almeida, um ministro da Igreja Reformada que traduziu a Bíblia Sagrada para a língua portuguesa no século XVII.
Almeida deixou a Igreja Católica e se converteu ao protestantismo. Dois anos após, lançou-se no projeto de traduzir o Novo Testamento. Completou o trabalho em 1654 e começou a tradução do Antigo Testamento. Em 1691 morreu e seu trabalho foi terminado pelo pastor holandês Jacobus op den Akker.
Esta famosa Bíblia teve muito impacto e ainda hoje é a Bíblia preferida pelas Igrejas evangélicas protestantes.

The Bible is the Bible Almeida created by King James, a minister of the Reformed Church who translated the Bible into Portuguese in the seventeenth century.
Almeida left the Catholic Church and converted to Protestantism. Two years later, he launched in the project to translate the New Testament. He completed the work in 1654 and began translating the Old Testament. He died in 1691 and his work was finished by the Dutch pastor Jacobus op den Akker.
This famous Bible had much impact and is still the Bible preferred by Protestant evangelical churches.
