Version 1.0 updated.
Description [menu]
The 'FT8 Decoder' app enables an Android phone to decode FT8 traffic by listening to externally provided audio - typically from a SSB or SDR receiver. FT8 is a digital ham radio mode with its origin in the WSJT-X software. FT8 is currently the most popular amateur communications mode on HF ("shortwave")! After installing the app, click on the 'Help' icon for usage instructions.
Use the ClockSync app (version 1.2.6 by Sergey Baranov) to verify the time on your Android phone. Getting the time correct on your phone is CRITICAL. Without correct time on your phone, the app will NOT be able to decode FT8 traffic.
For more information (including some goodies), bug reports, and feature requests, please use the associated https://github.com/kholia/DigitalRadioReceiverSupport site.
Note: Please visit this website before purchasing the app.
Thank you for the support - have fun, see you on the air, and 73!
