De Pintvatters vinden hun oorsprong in de Jeroen Bosch Verkennersband. Enkele leden van deze band speelden ook bij andere carnavalsverenigingen en waren meestal op maandagavond, na de optocht, vrij. Dus spraken ze af om deze dag met zijn allen muziek te maken wat al snel leidde tot een repertoire van wel 4 nummers, maar het was bere-gezellig. Dit hebben we zo een aantal jaren volgehouden tot het idee kwam om maar een nieuwe vereniging op te richten, en wel “De Pintvatters”.
