Montepío Luz Saviñón realiza actos con fines humanitarios de asistencia, sin propósito de lucro, y es administrada por un Patronato, guiada por la Ley de Instituciones de Asistencia Privada del Distrito Federal (LIAP) y vigilada por la Junta de Asistencia Privada (JAP) con el fin de garantizar la voluntad de la Fundadora y establecer las reglas sobre el manejo del Patrimonio.
