In Times Tables Snail Slide, your child gets to play a friendly game of snail slide against five different insect opponents! The idea of the game is simple - the dice spin and give your child a number of moves. They take it in turns with their opponent to slide their snails across the screen until all of the snails have got to the vegetables at the edge. The player who gets the most vegetables wins! Your child is bound to want to win, but how can they get an advantage for themselves? By attaching booster rockets to their snails! How do they get the rockets? By practising their times tables!
Before your child plays against the insects, Times Tables Snail Slide gives them tasks to help them learn their times tables. These include:
Explanations of how best to learn each times table
Chanting with the computer
Times tables songs
Revising their tables in order
Speed tests - answer random questions before the time you set expires
Automatically progressing through the times tables as they master each one
You can choose which of these tasks they use - you can have your child practising their tables using all of the above, just use it as a simple test, or you can let them decide for themselves.
As well as being rewarded for passing times tables tests by earning rocket boosters, which they can use in the game to supercharge their snails, your child will also love the badges they collect for getting questions correct on their tests, getting answers quickly, and simply for practising on consecutive days. For each times table they successfully pass they also get a trophy! Will they be able to collect all of the trophies and fill their trophy cabinet?
As they practise more and more times tables the challenge of the game increases - there are five different insects to unlock, and they get more and more difficult to beat! When they have finished playing, your child earns a score that will get on the high score table so they can see how much they are improving. Plus they can compare their scores with their friends and family - you can have up to six users on the app.
