Dalam kamus besar Bahasa Indonesia; Budi diartikan sebagai alat bathin (ruhani) yang merupakan paduan akal (pikiran) dan perasaan (hati) untuk menimbang baik dan buruk. Jika akal dan perasaan disatukan maka akan menghasilkan energi kekuatan yang di sebut Samudra Kehidupan atau Sagara Kahuripan atau bias di artikan Bahrul Hayat.
