When my daughter was three years we decided to find a mobile app for elementary drawing on the phone or tablet screen.
Unfortunately, most of these applications didn’t suit us.
There were drawing applications for professional designers, not for a child.
Others were childish but they had strange UI. Furthermore, most of them had an annoying advertisement. I agree that the work of the programmer should be paid and advertising is used for that. I know it because I am a software developer too, but I dislike ads, otherwise, no-ads versions were surprisingly expensive.
However, I still needed a drawing app for my daughter and I decided that I could easily make the app. Finally, I spent a couple of evenings after work and made the first version of my own application.
For a few weeks more, my wife and daughter tested and debugged it. Their “job” was to draw and find bugs. My job was to fix bugs and made improvements (I still wonder why such a simple application took so much time and force).
Months later, almost all members of my family (including grandma, sisters, nephews and etc.) and my friends participated in the software development process :)
In the end, they all got involved in testing the application and helped me to make this application better.
I want to say thank you for your help and support :)
I don’t have any illusions about a popularity of this app. I know that there are many analogs.
I just want to make simple, easy-to-use and good-looking drawing app (in my humble opinion).
