When location emulation is turned on, the app will give other apps and services on your device your faked location.
Before you can fake your location with the app, you will be guided through a setup procedure which includes:
1. Enabling developer mode on your device.
2. Selecting DS Fake GPS Location as the mock location app in the developer settings.

The app requires permission to access your location so that it can access all the location providers on your device - specifically Google's location services provider (fused location provider). Law enforcement and other government agencies may request access to this type of technology to locate people of interest. The only reliable way to hide your location from this type of technology is to make sure not to carry your phone. Turning your phone off or pulling out the battery might not work.
