Experts of the Institute of Industrial Design recognized First Aid app as very well designed. On top of that the app was among the finalists of the competition for best designed products available in the Polish market in competition Good Design 2016.
The Good Design Competition is a nationwide design competition held annually from 1993 by the Institute of Industrial Design. The Competition awards products of different purpose, which are innovative, well-designed and matching consumers’ needs.
Statistics are alarming: People are incapable and scared of giving pre-medical first aid. Under stress and pressure, lacking basic knowledge and experience, it’s quite hard for us to attempt any resuscitation treatments. Willing to challenge this, in fact really serious problem we created a mobile application, which leading thought was to cause right reactions in people facing an emergency.
We designed simple and easy-to-comprehend illustrated instructions, in order to shorten the time an average app user needs to understand a method of interaction with a victim . Additional advantage of our solution is a lector, reading instructions out loud, to improve performing first aid on a victim. Suggestions depend on the victim’s age - before attempting to help, a user chooses weather help is being given to an adult, a child, or a new-born. The software is free and can be accesses and fully operational off-line. Moreover, its design makes navigating through it really seamless and intuitional.
First Aid is a must-have at all time app. It allows quick, effective and safe advice on how to act in unpredictable situations, threatening someone’s health or life.

Allows for an effective spare-of-a-moment decision making and acting, thanks to its lector feature.
Presents a workflow with its vivid illustrations.
Localizes nearest hospitals on a map and shows directions to a chosen facility.
Allows for a quick call for help, with its alarm-call feature.
Optimizes smartphone settings, by setting maximum screen brightness, locking the screensaver and forcing maximum volume for better app-user interaction.
