Joe Whelan began playing guitar at the age of 16. Since then he has become a virtuoso guitar player, mastering the fretboard over the years and developing a solid rock voice, playing with the UK's number one Metalica tribute MENTALLICA, Progressive Metal band DEMENTIA (where he found his talent for song writing) and, more recently, successful Metal band CLOVEN HOOF.
X-Factor sensation Joe - a 26 year old tool salesman from Wolverhampton rocked the ITV talent on his debut in 2012, the appearance another stage in his numerous attempts to achieve stardom. Singing ‘Whole Lotta Love’, judge Tulisa raved about Joseph’s amazing voice, while Louis Walsh loved Whelan’s "authentic rock voice" and Take That star Gary Barlow described Joe's performance as "awesome" from beginning to end.
Now seeking a solo career, Joe signed to ROK Records in 2012 and this special audio comic has been released to coincide with the launch of his first single, "I Lie Lonely".
Joe voices himself in the comic as his story from 16-year-old music hopeful to his latest performances is revealed.
