ซึ่งการจัดทำในครั้งนี้เพื่อใช้ในโครงการเผยแพร่อัตลักษณ์มหาวิทยาลัย
และเพื่อเผยแพร่บทเพลงอันเป็นความภาคภูมิใจของชาวมหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น
ให้ครอบคลุมถึงกลุ่มนักเรียน นักศึกษา ซึ่งเป็นกลุ่มเป้าหมายหลักกลุ่มหนึ่ง ของมหาวิทยาลัย
