La Oreja de Van Gogh (English: Van Gogh's Ear, literally The Ear of Van Gogh) is Spanish pop band from Donostia-San Sebastian, Spain. The name of the band refers to the famous post-impressionist painter Vincent van Gogh who cut off the lobe of his own ear. Their characteristically poetic songs (both lyrics and music) are written mainly by band members Pablo Benegas, Xabi San Martín and (until she left) Amaia Montero. The themes of their songs typically include love, friendship and relationships. Since their debut, they have sold more than 8 million albums worldwide.

La Oreja de Van Gogh (abreviado en ocasiones como LOVG o LODVG) es un grupo musical originario de San Sebastián (País Vasco), España. Su trayectoria en el mundo de la música comenzó formalmente en
1996. La banda nació formada por Pablo Benegas, Álvaro Fuentes, Xabi San Martín, Haritz Garde y la vocalista Amaia Montero.2 3 Ésta última abandonó el grupo en 2007 para iniciar su carrera de
solista. Desde 2008 Leire Martínez pone voz al grupo.
Aunque se les suele identificar como una banda de género pop-rock, esta formación donostiarra juega a lo largo de sus seis discos de estudio con géneros tan variados como la ranchera, la bossa nova, el dance, la música electrónica o el rock.
