OBS de Hazelmuis APK Description
OBS de Hazelmuis is één van de twee basisscholen in Stolwijk, een levendig dorp in de Krimpenerwaard. We hebben ongeveer 280 leerlingen, verdeeld over 11 groepen. Er werken bij ons 22 leerkrachten.
De ouders van de leerlingen van onze school zijn zeer meelevend en actief in de diverse geledingen op onze school. Er is dan ook een actieve activiteitenvereniging en medezeggenschapsraad.
De bovenverdieping van de school wordt ingenomen door een personeels-en directiekamer. Deze zijn te bereiken via de trap die haast in het midden van het schoolgebouw staat.
Beneden zijn er een grote (aula) en een kleine hal. Zodoende hebben we plaats voor activiteiten, zoals een maandsluiting, met meerdere groepen of zelfs met alle kinderen. Rond de beide hallen liggen de groepslokalen. Op het bovenbouwplein staat een prachtig porto-cabin, met ook hierin alle faciliteiten. Hier krijgt onze groep 7 les.
We hebben één lokaal dat niet continu als groepslokaal gebruikt wordt, maar wel op gezette tijden. Hier worden namelijk het RALFI-lezen, sommige kringactiviteiten en de (muziek)gastlessen gegeven. Ook kunnen de leerlingen deze ruimte gebruiken voor bijvoorbeeld het instuderen van toneelstukken en de musical.
Alle groepen hebben een digibord. Bij alle lessen en alle methodes is het ICT onderwijs volledig geïmplementeerd. In groep 4 wordt sinds januari geëxperimenteerd met tablets. Elke leerling heeft een eigen tablet waarop de opdrachten worden gemaakt van taal, rekenen, spelling en begrijpend lezen. Ze krijgen direct feedback, de leerkracht ziet de resultaten van de hele groep in één oogopslag op het eigen beeldscherm.
De groepen 1 en 2 hebben een eigen ingang, alsmede een eigen speelplaats.
De groepen 3 tot en met 8 hebben aan de andere kant van het gebouw hun ingang, waar tevens ook hun speelpleinen zijn. Alles is met een prachtig nieuw hek omheind, zodat sloten en verkeer geen direct gevaar op kunnen leveren.
De ligging van de school is landelijk. Rondom de school is er veel ruimte en groen. We hebben een schitterend uitzicht op het park "De Hennepakkers". Regelmatig maken wij dan ook gebruik van al deze ruimte tijdens de diverse leer-en spelactiviteiten.
Onze school beschikt over de modernste technieken en methodes. Wij hebben ons onderwijsconcept de afgelopen jaren volledig onder de loep genomen. Wij werken adaptief, kunnen omgaan met verschillen, maar bovenal; wij heten onze leerlingen welkom. In een goede, veilige sfeer zo optimaal mogelijk presteren.
OBS The Dormouse is one of the two primary schools in Stolwijk, a lively village in Krimpenerwaard. We have about 280 pupils, divided into 11 groups. It works with our 22 teachers.The parents of the students of our school are very caring and active in the various sections in our school. There is an active business association and MR.
The upper floor of the school is occupied by a personnel and boardroom. These are accessible via the staircase which is almost in the middle of the school.
Downstairs there are a large (auditorium) and a small hallway. Thus, we have room for activities such as a month of closure, with multiple groups or even with all the kids. Around the two halls are the group premises. In the upper square is a beautiful port-cabin, with also includes all facilities. This group gets our 7 lesson.
We have one room that is not used continuously as a group locally, but on a regular basis. Here would be given the Ralfi read, some group activities and guest lectures (music). The students can use this space for example, studying plays and musicals.
All groups have an IWB. In all classes and all methods is the ICT education fully implemented. In group 4, from January experimented with tablets. Each student has their own tablet on which the contracts are made in language, math, spelling and reading comprehension. They get immediate feedback, the teacher can see the results of the entire group at a glance on-screen.
Groups 1 and 2 have a private entrance and a playground.
The groups 3 to 8 have on the other side of the building, its entrance, where as well as their playgrounds. Everything is a beautiful new fence fenced so closed and traffic can pose any immediate danger.
The school's location is rural. Around the school there is a lot of space and greenery. We have a wonderful view of the park "Hemp Akkers". Regularly we also use all this space during the various learning and play activities.
Our school has the most modern techniques and methods. We have educational concept fully scrutinized in recent years. We work adaptive, able to deal with differences, but most of all; we welcome our students welcome. In a good, safe environment to perform optimally.
