Projekt Flughafen Tempelhof APK Description
Das ist die offizielle App zur Sonderausstellung „Ein weites Feld. Der Flughafen Tempelhof und seine Geschichte“ der Stiftung Topographie des Terrors im Hauptgebäude des ehemaligen Flughafens. Die Ausstellung ist ab dem 5. September 2018 geöffnet. Die App bietet Ihnen die Ausstellungstexte in Arabisch, Englisch, Französisch, Russisch und Spanisch an. Zudem beinhaltet sie Hintergrundinformationen zur Ausstellung und weiterführende Informationsangebote zur Geschichte des Tempelhofer Feldes.
Die Ausstellung erzählt von der wechselhaften Geschichte des Tempelhofer Flughafenareals: Am Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts Experimentierfeld für Fluggeräte, seit Mitte der 1920er-Jahre Standort einer der wichtigsten europäischen Flughäfen, während der Zeit des Nationalsozialismus Schauplatz von Propagandakundgebungen, Großbaustelle, schließlich Produktionsstätte der Rüstungsindustrie und Ort der Zwangsarbeit; in der Zeit des Kalten Krieges war der Flughafen für West-Berlin ein „Tor zur freien Welt“. Die Ausstellung rückt die NS-Zeit in den Mittelpunkt, schildert aber auch die Geschichte des Flughafengeländes vom Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts bis in die Gegenwart.
Die Ausstellung wurde im Rahmen des Europäischen Kulturerbejahres 2018 erarbeitet, das in Deutschland unter dem Motto „SHARING HERITAGE“ steht.
