Het is dan ook niet voor niets een Vreedzame School. Een van de weinige in Beverwijk. Dit intensieve programma voor sociale competentie en democratisch burgerschap heeft er op ’t Kraaienest toe geleid dat leerlingen zich rustig en verantwoordelijk gedragen, respectvol met elkaar omgaan, minder conflicten hebben en zaken goed verwoorden. Zo’n klimaat komt het lesgeven ten goede. Kijk maar naar onze schoolresultaten. In deze vreedzame sfeer gedijen de leerlingen: ze voelen zich gehoord en gezien, krijgen een stem, respecteren elkaars verschillen en leren samen constructief conflicten op te lossen en beslissingen te nemen. Op eigen kracht.
