theLink (Beta) APK Description
Enjoy a seamless experience between your Windows PC and your Android device.
NOTE: theLink is in EXTREME ALPHA. Expect a lot of crashes...
For theLink to work, you will need the client application on desktop. Get it from http://goo.gl/utqq4m (takes you to http://sourceforge.net/projects/thelink/files/theLink-in.exe/download)
- Open Source! Look at the code and change it to your liking.
- See when there are calls on your desktop, and if a website supports it, click thier number to send the call to your phone.
- Initiate calls without having to unlock your screen (or at any time, really)
- Ping function to see if your devices are connected
- Check charging status on your phone while sitting on your PC
- Send files to your desktop
Permissions explanation:
- Internet - to be able to connect to your PC
- Call phone, read call log, SMS, etc. to provide this info to your PC and initiate calls from your PC
- Vibrate - not currently used, but will be during the sonar.
- Location - to provide cellular info to your computer.
- Read external storage - to send files to your PC.
How to install theLink (Beta) APK for Android
Download theLink (Beta) APK file from APKPure.live, then follow these steps:
Update Phone Settings
- Go to your phone Settings page
- Tap Security or Applications (varies with device)
- Check the Unknown Sources box
- Confirm with OK
Go to Downloads
- Open Downloads on your device by going to My Files or Files
- Tap Install when prompted, the APK file you downloaded will be installed on your device.
