Salah satu lagunya yang terkenal antara lain adalah Mawar Berduri dan Angin Malam. Ia mengalami stroke pada tahun 2000, setelah itu ia seringkali masuk keluar rumah sakit. Broery meninggalkan seorang istri dan dua orang anak.

Pada tahun 1977 Dewi Yull mengikuti Penyanyi Nasional Tingkat Nasional (setelah menjadi juara pertama di tingkat provinsi Jawa Barat) dan menduduki peringkat keempat, di bawah Hetty Koes Endang (DKI), Melky Goeslaw/Diana Nasution (DKI), dan Ira Puspita (Jawa Timur).
Dewi Yull juga aktif di sinetron dan film, antara lain membintangi sinetron Losmen dan film Kembang Kertas juga Penyesalan Seumur Hidup. Dalam kariernya menarik suara, dia belakangan selalu digandengkan dengan Broery Pesolima, yang dianggap sebagai pasangan panggung serasi.
