Undang-Undang ini mengatur mengenai keseimbangan antara hak perseorangan atas tanah dan keharusan pembangunan jalan untuk kepentingan umum. Oleh karena itu, penggunaan tanah harus bermanfaat bagi masyarakat, negara, dan bagi pemegang hak atas tanah. Tanah masyarakat yang terkena pembangunan jalan diberikan ganti kerugian berdasarkan kesepakatan. Akan tetapi, apabila kesepakatan tidak tercapai, dilakukan pencabutan hak atas tanah.
Undang-Undang ini terdiri dari 10 Bab dan 68 Pasal beserta penjelasannya.
Undang-Undang ini mulai berlaku pada tanggal diundangkan pada tanggal 18 Oktober 2004.
Dengan aplikasi ini kita akan dipermudah karena sudah ada menu yang menunjukkan topik per topik dari isi yang ada dalam UU ini.
Setelah membaca dan merasa penting untuk topik tertentu kita bisa melakukan bookmark untuk memudahkan pencarian di masa mendatang.
