La nueva Traducción Viviente es una traducción al español de la Santa Biblia realizada por un comité de estudiosos, teólogos y especialistas que trabajaron más de 10 años para lograr una Biblia fácil de leer, pero respetando el mensaje y significado de los textos originales.
Su principal objetivo fue ofrecer una versión que fuera fácilmente entendible por los lectores modernos y para ello utilizaron estructuras y vocabulario de uso común en la actualidad, sin reflejar regionalismos.
La idea era crear una Biblia de uso amplio en tiempo y espacio, comprensible para todos los lectores de habla hispana.
La traducción del Antiguo Testamento se basó en el texto masorético de la Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia (1977), los rollos del mar Muerto, la Septuaginta y otros manuscritos griegos.
La traducción del Nuevo Testamento se basó en el Nuevo Testamento Griego (Greek New Testament, 1933) y en Novum Testamentum Graece (1993)

The New Living Translation is a Spanish translation of the Holy Bible by a committee of scholars, theologians and specialists who worked more than 10 years for easy reading Bible, but respecting the message and meaning of the original texts.
Its main objective was to offer a version that was easily understood by modern readers and it used structures and vocabulary commonly used today, without reflecting regionalisms.
The idea was to create a broad use Bible in time and space, understandable to all Spanish-speaking readers.
The Old Testament translation was based on the Masoretic text of the Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia (1977), the Dead Sea Scrolls, Septuagint and other Greek manuscripts.
